2020 NATURE PLAY SESSIONS FAQ………..


Where:
Secluded bush space between Leslie Patrick Park oval and the Kedron Brook, Everton Hills (parking via 135 Olearia st West)
, beside the new all abilities playground.


When:
Every Thursday & Friday during the Qld school terms. Every fortnight on a Wednesday we offer tool and nature craft sessions – term 3 2020.


What:
A self paced session with a mix of exploring the creek and local bush surrounds plus focused sensory and early learning experiences with quality resources. The session is facilitated by Jo an experienced Kindy teacher and Forest school leader. We finish the session, packing away together and joining for a music time.


Details:

Wednesday tool/craft sessions

for children over 3 years.

Time: 9.30am until 12 midday.

10 families maximum.

Cost: $ 30 for one child, $50 for 2 children, $65 for 3 children, $80 for 4 children.

Some examples of ideas include – crafting with nature items, creating small boats, nature weaving, woodwork, using drills, whittling and so much more.

Start date: Wednesday 22nd July, 5th August, 19th August, 2nd September, 16th September – every fortnight.

An adult must be capable to support the children in their care.

Thursday Bush Kindy

For children 18 months to 6 years.

Time – 9.30am until 12 midday.

This is capped for 20 families only (non COVID19) and is non refundable. Due to COVID19 we are ensuring that all participant limits are adhered to. At the present time June 2020 it is 20 people.

Cost: Prices have gone up slightly due to extended time until midday. $25 1 child,$35 2 children, $45 for 3 children and $50 for 4 or more children.

Bookings via email – bushknowing@gmail.com and direct debit to my account. This is a 10 week booking -same as the school term.

Start date: Thursday 16th July 2020.

Friday Casual pay as you go playgroup

For children from 12 months to 6 years.

Time: 9.30am until 11.30am

This is capped for 20 families only (non COVID19) and is non refundable. Due to COVID19 we are ensuring that all participant limits are adhered to. At the present time June 2020 it is 20 people.

Cost: $22 1 child, $32 2 children, $42 3 children, $47 4+ children.

Start date: Friday 17th July 2020.

How to pay:
In 2020 we will have an upfront term payment option – for the Bush Kindy ( Thursday Term Booked sessions) and a pay as you go via TryBooking for the Wednesday nature craft/tool sessions in term 3 and the Friday Nature Playgroup sessions.

Bush Kindy –Booked term Thursday sessions
This is a set group for 10 weeks of the term. Please email bushknowing@gmail.com for payment details and options.

Casual Friday pay as you go – Nature Playgroup sessions

This session is capped at 20 families.

What happens if l am running late:
We start our session promptly at 9.30am. If you are running late please come and find us using the maps on this site under the location tab.

What forms do l need to fill out:
There is a compulsory waiver form that we use for your families contact/medical details and for our public liability insurance. This needs to be filled out and returned to staff before entering our bush site.

What if l have allergies:
This information is registered on the compulsory waiver form. Please just remind us at the start of the session so we can make others aware.

Where is the closest toilet:
There is a toilet in the park closest to our meeting point.


What to bring/wear:
Closed in toe shoes (both adults and children) or gumboots are compulsory. Dress for the weather -hat, shirt with sleeves, sunscreen/ insect repellent or wet weather gear. Snack, water and rug for morning tea. Please be aware of possible allergies and only consume food and drinks in morning tea area.


Baby wearing and pram friendly! Its a Very inclusive environment and all families and children are welcome.
